Douche of the Week: Feb. 27th - Mar. 5th

Big Baby striking a pose.
No matter how big of a loser you are, at least you are not one of the guys listed below in this weeks installment of Douche(s) of the Week.

Erik Spoelstra - As much as I like hearing about millionaire athletes literally crying about not getting their way, there's also a code about leaving team business behind closed doors. When you have mega-athletes like Lebron and Wade on your roster who are trying to "embrace" their roles as the NBA villains, you might want to reconsider painting them as soft (even if they are). While Erik might not be the only person to blame on the Heat for their popularity struggles, I think the outspoken Stan Van Gundy said it best:

"I do chuckle a little bit when they complain about the scrutiny they get. My suggestion would be if you don't want the scrutiny, you don't hold a championship celebration before you've even practiced together. It's hard to go out yourself and invite that kind of crowd and celebration and attention, and then when things aren't going well, sort of bemoan the fact that you're getting that attention."

Brandon Davies - So I know this might be a hard one to sell to my readers, but give me a minute. For those of you that don't know, Brandon Davies was the BYU basketball player that got kicked off the team for engaging in sexual relations with a lady friend. When I was an 18-year-old college freshman, I would have done anything to be a star athlete for the sole purpose of being able to pick up chicks. If you were given this awesome opportunity with the college coeds, why would you squander it away at a university like BYU who doesn't allow you to enjoy this gift!? Brandon, you should have taken your talents to a real school, where they  basically would have been encouraging you to spread your seed. If BYU gives you the boot, then good riddance!!!

Correction - BYU does not love you, Brandon.

Hines Ward - So what's worse than losing the Super Bowl? How about losing the Super Bowl then joining the cast of Dancing with the Stars. What Hines is basically saying with this move is that his career is over. Football has passed him by and his retirement days have arrived. Once an athlete makes this bold move to the reality realm of television, there is no need for your assistance on the playing field anymore. See Chad Ochocinco, Kurt Warner, etc....Good Luck with the rest of your life Mr. Ward!
