Tiger-Style: Woods Living Large, Playing Small

House on the beach, check. Elevator leading to a state-of-the-art gymnasium, yep. Golf course with a humidity control system installed underground in order to maintain optimum playing conditions, oh yeah. 16,000 SF of living space perfect for keeping your "friends" apart from your children when visiting on the weekends, without a doubt. Tiger Woods has built himself a palace in Jupiter Island, Florida that's fit for a king (and a pimp)!

Merely months after shelling out over $100 million in a divorce settlement with ex-wife Elin Nordegren, Woods started unpacking his belongings in his new and improved $50 million mansion. You got to give the man some credit for not allowing that kind of settlement and this horrible economy crush the spending spirit! With his income now being a small percentage of what it once was, should we be concerned that he might run out of money?

To go along with his divorce and the big move, Tiger seems to be having troubles finding time for both his golf tournaments and his weekends with his kids. This balancing act between his "work" and his children has limited him in his event participation and affected his results when he does play. With each passing day and every news article that is released, we are still seeing this strangely average athlete in Tiger Woods.

When details of Tiger's affairs began leaking out in November of 2009, I was 100% sure that he would be back on his game at the start of the 2010 season. A year and a half later and Woods still seems to be unable to find that Tiger-Mode he used to have on the course. Many things that he is forced to do now show us that he is just human and not a golf robot like before.

Will he win again, probably. Will he ever be as dominant as before, I really don't think so. I hope that I am wrong, because golf is not worth watching without the real Tiger Woods on the course.
