The NFL: Where $9,000,000,000 is Not Enought!

Michael Vick speaking on behalf of the NFL to the fans!
"What’s the use of happiness? It can’t buy you money." - Henny Youngman.
So you ask, is there anything worse than listening to a couple fighting about money? The answer is yes. How about having to listen to a handful of gazillionaires fighting over their share of 9 BILLION DOLLARS. During a time when your average football fan can barely afford the parking at their favorite teams' stadium, we have been subjected to a years worth of bickering over an amount of money that is unimaginable to us common folk.

Bringin sexy back - Al Davis
The breaking news today was that the NFLPA and the NFL owners have finally agreed on something. The current collective bargaining agreement has been extended for 24 more hours, which basically amounts to nothing! I find it hard to believe that an extra day of negotiations will help the expert mediation team of Jeff Saturday and Charlie Batch reach a settlement with open-minded owners like Al Davis and Dan Snyder. It's not going to happen.

So from now until the day that football begins again (if it ever does), I beg the NFL and the sports media to please not bore us anymore with the constant flow of non-newsworthy stories about the "progress" in the labor negotiations. I understand that this is a lot to ask, but please, spare us.

One easy solution to this whole dilemma would be to put Charlie Sheen in charge of finding a solution to this issue. WINNING!!! Problem solved.
